She is thrilled to be offering the incredible Hippocrates transformation programme at her retreat centre in the Brecon Beacons. It encompasses a serious immersion in to a vegan raw and living food detoxification health programme created by Dr Ann Wigmore over 70 years ago. It has since been run by Brian and Anna Maria Clement in Florida for the past 50 years. The programme focuses on consuming large amounts of enzyme rich green nutrition using green juices, wheatgrass, many different living sprouted seeds and pulses, salads, seaweeds, raw vegetables, the Hippocrates raw green soup and dehydrated crackers. This all helps to restore metabolic health, up-regulate your immune system, mobilize vitality, optimize energy, improve oxygen delivery and nutrient absorption, while detoxifying and reducing inflammation, balancing blood glucose levels, restoring a healthy pH, increasing the body's strength and ability to heal and fully restore to health.
The Hippocrates Wellness Institute offers online plant-based nutrition & wellness programmes. It would enhance your experience while on your Cwmdu retreat to enrol on one of the Hippocrates Institute online courses during your stay so that you can consume the living food cuisine effortlessly whilst also learning hands on how to continue the programme when you get home. Minimum stay is 7 nights but 21 nights is the optimum length of stay.

CATS:
There are 2 resident cats at Cwmdu: Rosie (Rosie Posy) and Jasmine (Jazzy Wazzy). Rosie is always up for a healing cuddle once she gets to know you. Jazzy is a bit more standoffish but a very old soul who will connect with you if she feels like it.
What to bring: Summer:
shorts, jeans, T shirts, swimming things. (When walking in long grass please wear long trousers and cover your legs, feet and ankles due to deer and sheep tics being prevalent here). Winter: Wellies, walking shoes, umbrella, warm coats, socks, gloves, hat and your favourite water bottle or electric blanket. In general: SLIPPERS (no shoes allowed upstairs or in sitting room), yoga mat (although we have some extras you can borrow) your laptop and phone (good strong wifi here), no smart clothes needed just your most comfortable clothes, tooth brush, toothpaste, torch, journal for writing in, any books or CD's you want to catch up on, musical instruments, painting things if you want to paint. But please leave the rest of the world behind. This is a chance to get off the world for a while.

Cwmdu garden and vegetable garden:
we have a kitchen garden which is in the process of being developed. We also have a conservatory with a beautiful grape vine. It is planned to get some WWoofs (volunteer organic gardeners) to help with the setting up of the garden and kitchen garden. We have 2 small poly tunnels and 2 greenhouses. In addition a meditation area and meditation garden are also planned. If any guests want to get connected to the earth and volunteer work in the garden it is much appreciated including chopping of wood for the Rayburn and 2 wood burners in the house. Physical work in the garden and on the land is very healing. We are contemplating getting rescue chickens but being a vegan establishment this is probably counter intuitive! Still to be decided.
After care and support:
this is on an individual basis designed for each client. The importance cannot be overstated how vital it is for clients to feel supported and held through the transition process back to normal life and weaving their new found skills within their old life throwing out the old and bringing in the new.
The future at Cwmdu:
There is an un-restored barn to be converted in to a yoga and teaching studio during 2022, in addition it is planned to have yurts and a wild outdoor sauna based on the 3 acres of land here at Cwmdu. The vision is a work in progress.
